This rebrand reimagines Bring a Trailer beyond auctions, transforming it into a tech powered home for car enthusiasts. Inspired by the passion, knowledge, and trust of automotive communities, the new identity positions BaT as a place where collectors and digital natives gather to discover, discuss, and connect over rare vehicles through transparency, innovation, and storytelling.
01: Hero Screens
The interface is clean and minimal at its core, designed with clarity, restraint, and timeless elegance. Subtle playful moments; through scale, motion, and interaction add warmth and personality without breaking sophistication. The result is a modern experience with an old money sensibility.
02: Interaction Design
Community is the heart of Bring a Trailer It’s a place where enthusiasts connect through conversation, reactions, and shared knowledge. Clean onboarding and bold orange moments create clarity and urgency, inviting members to jump in and be part of the action.
03: Discover (Buyer) & Seller Journey
The UX process began by addressing Bring a Trailer’s intimidating, insider driven culture and complex auction flows. Through research and journey mapping, I identified key pain points around trust, accessibility, and onboarding for new buyers and sellers. These insights shaped a cleaner, more welcoming experience centered on discovery, transparency, and community, where social features support engagement without overwhelming the core buying and selling flow.

By simplifying entry points, surfacing shared knowledge, and designing for contribution, not just bidding the experience empowers more users to engage, learn, and belong.

The UI features consistent corner radii across all elements, echoing the softened curves found in the Bring a Trailer logo to create a unified, approachable feel. This visual harmony ties the interface together, reinforcing brand identity subtly throughout the experience. Collectible badges reward user achievements, adding a playful layer of motivation and community recognition that encourages engagement and celebrates participation.
